Course Description
In this workshop, teachers will develop an understanding of how STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) is the most effective way to create engaging, relevant learning opportunities that nurture the 21st century thinking skills of creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and communication.
Teachers will leave this workshop with the tools and confidence to add tiers of relevance and engagement to their current curriculum by incorporating STEAM concepts and projects.

STEM/STEAM Education has been at the forefront of progressive education with its focus on problem-solving--most recently with an added focus on the formal design thinking process. In this course, we'll share models for STEAM Education with an emphasis on the interdisciplinary element. This includes strategies for PBL (Project Based Learning) curriculum design and engaging questions to elicit divergent solutions.
